Introducing The Incaredibles

Welcome to The Incaredibles' blog. We hardy bunch of 3 persons are taking on the challenge of our lives, you can follow us right here. Laugh at us or with us, worry as you feel our struggle and feel joyous as you share our glory. And perhaps wage a little money on us, it's all for a great cause (note: winning bets will not be payed out by our charity).

In summary we're going to traverse 1,000miles of mountain, desert and jungle in deepest darkest Peru (the unroute) in a vehicle more suited for pootling tourists around town (the motortaxi). The brakes are inadequate, the vehicle is fragile, our repair skills are virtually non-existent and our 1st aider doesn't know what 'elastoplast' means. Check this to see what it's all about... and even sign up yourself.... ahem.

We're idiots. But spirited idiots with a sense of adventure and no pressing responsibilities. And we aim to raise a lot of money for people in South America who really need it.

I hope you enjoy!

Now Meet The Incaredible Family...

Adam Incaredible
Avi Incaredible
Moira Incaredible

Adam
Special skills:
- Local knowledge [been on holiday to South America twice]
- Interpretation [learning Spanish]
- Creative director [made the logo in Powerpoint]
- Mountaineering [climbed Kilimanjaro]

My love of travelling and adventure alongside my inability to say no to Avi's crazy suggestions brings me to this. We did the tallest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro, in early 2010.Despite talk of scaling Everest as part of a quest to tackle the tallest mountain on each continent, we opted for a more horizontal objective this time.

Originally from Watford, I currently live in Greenwich, South East London. I am now officially an unemployed bum travelling the world.

Avi
Special skills:
- Motorbike repair [evening classes start in January]
- Social media [kinda knows how Twitter works]
- Mountaineering [climbed Kilimanjaro]
- Master of disguise [looks a bit Peruvian]

I know what you're thinking, why do this? Well its because it will be fun and an adventure (well, that what I told the other two). I had been wanting to go to South America for some time, and whilst the usual two week package holiday has never held any allure for me, an unusual two week non package adventure seems right up my street. I had been following The Adventurists for a while, and knew this was the challenge for me. And having fallen off a moped driven by Adam, I knew he would be eager for the chance of redemption and to traverse the latitude of Peru. Moira, our thirdco-pilot was less of a challenge to convince (some might say she was easy).

From the outer London suburbs (Harrow), jungles, mountains, deserts, and rainforests are my natural habitats.

Moira
Special skills:
- Medic [1st aid course is booked]
- Light [mototaxi can make it up hills]
- Charm [Irish]

Having been easily convinced to join the Incarediables, I am now starting to question the sanity of my decision!! In my defence, I was in a leg brace for the WHOLE summer so at the time Avi put our team together anything that involved not being stuck at home was very appealing!! However my love of travelling is preventing me from abandoning ship (or in this case a sofa on a bike!) and with two strapping young gentlemen to look after me, I'm sure it will be a great adventure!

I'm from County Clare in the west of Ireland but have spent the last 3 years in London (via Dublin and Toronto). Previous charity challenges include spending a week in China's Guangdong province building houses and abseiling down the London Underwrites Building (I have a slight fear of heights!).
