Making progress... kind of

It's been a while since we last updated our blog, but fear not, preparations are in full swing. I have handed in my notice and booked a one-way ticket to Sao Paulo (the enormity of that hit home when I hit the 'buy' button on ebookers last weekend, I was laughing to myself like a demented jackal). I'll be in Peru in time to meet the other Incaredibles for our perilous journey.

Moira has set the website development in progress, we've seen the first cuts and have our fingers crossed that the final thing will hit a web browser near you this coming week. Avi and I have started our motorcycle maintenance course, intermediate level - our lovely Polish teach Lezslo is helping us 'beginners' through in his natural sardonic style.

With just 5 weeks and 4 days until I leave the country indefinitely, and 13 weeks until the Junket begins, there is still so much to do! Whilst we return to such tasks as scrabbling around for sponsors and donors, figuring out what equipment we'll need and learning how to sauté guinea pig, I'll leave you with a few shots of our motorcycle course.

Lezslo shows us how to remove the top head bearings

We start by removing the front forks... carefully... and remembering how to put everything back together of course.

Gently remove the bearings taking care not to damage any of the precision engineered mechanics

Finally got the bastard out!

Arty shot. It proves we put it back together again. Now would you drive this home?
