We're using Google Latitude to plot our current location. This works by using the GPS on our smartphone to pinpoint our position, and then relies on a mobile network to broadcast it to the internet. So bear in mind it may not always be up-to-date or accurate - e.g. we may not have a mobile network for a long period or our battery may die!
